FACE + BODY

Skin needling—also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy—is a popular and effective treatment for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Here’s how it works:

What Happens During Skin Needling?
A device with fine, sterile needles creates thousands of tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These microchannels penetrate the epidermis and into the dermis (where stretch marks form), triggering the body’s natural healing process.

How It Helps Stretch Marks
By stimulating collagen & elastin production. The micro-injuries stimulate fibroblasts in the dermis to produce new collagen and elastin, which are crucial for skin strength and elasticity. This helps to thicken and strengthen the skin where stretch marks have caused thinning or damage.

Improves Skin Texture & Tone
As the skin regenerates, microneedling helps break up scar tissue and encourages a more even tone and texture. This is particularly effective for older, white/silver stretch marks (striae alba), though newer red or purple ones (striae rubra) often respond even faster.

Enhances Product Absorption
The microchannels created also allow topical serums—such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, or growth factors—to penetrate deeper into the skin, boosting their effectiveness.

How Many Sessions Are Needed?
For stretch marks, a series of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is usually recommended, depending on the severity and age of the marks.

Benefits:
Minimally invasive
Little downtime
Suitable for most skin types and areas (thighs, stomach, hips, etc.)

Considerations
Some redness and mild swelling can occur for a day or two after treatment.
Stretch marks may never fully disappear, but their appearance can be significantly reduced.

Results are cumulative in nature, and improve over months as collagen rebuilds.
